Introduce the Book of Sirach to the Congregation. It’s always a good idea to spark interest in the reading of the bible; especially of the books of the OT which often get overlooked. You could preach to them on the value of the book, or on specific themes to introduce them to it. A good bible dictionary or introduction to Sirach would be helpful here. I recommend the following:
1. Catholic Bible Dictionary. Edited by Dr. Scott Hahn. Amazon.
2. McKenzie’s Dictionary of the Bible. Fr. John McKenzie. Amazon.
3.The Men and Message of the Old Testament. Peter F. Ellis. Rather outdated but still useful. Amazon.
4. New Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture. Amazon
5. Jerome Biblical Commentary. Amazon
6. Brief Online Introduction to Sirach.
7. Online Overview of Sirach. Brief summary of individual chapters and sections.
