READINGS AND OFFICE: Summary of Today’s Readings: The time of the Messiah was to be marked by integral healing and salvation (1st reading). In His person and mission, heralded by the Baptist, our Lord manifested and communicated such healing and salvation (gospel). We are called upon to wait patiently for the fullness of the Messianic age (2nd reading), as we glorify the works of God and look forward to the final coming of the Lord (Ps).
